2. Indira Gandhi National Open University: Indira Gandhi National Open University is a national university which was named after the ex-Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. This university is also known as IGNOU. This university was formed after the “Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985” (IGNOU Act 1985) was passed by the Parliament of India with the budget of 2,000 Indian Rupi in 1985. It was established in 1971 and named after the name of King Ramkhamhaeng the Great of Sukhothai who is credited for the creation of Thai alphabet. 9. University of Pune: This University is among the India’s premier universities, located in the North Western Pune. It was founded in 1949. Formerly it was known as University of Poona. 10. University System of Ohio: University System of Ohio is the public university system of Ohio’s state. In 2007 it was unified under Governor Ted Strickland.
